Mr. Larry Lynn Treat,of Fort Smith went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 14, 2009. He was 63 years, 2 months, and 19 days old. Mr. Treat was born March 25, 1946, in Searcy, AR. He was a member of West Ark Church of Christ. He retired from GAB Robbins after 38 years as a General Insurance Adjuster.

He enjoyed hunting , fishing, and camping including annual trips to Peal's Resort and Red River, NM. He also supported his children and grandchildren in various sporting activities throughout the years. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mozella and George Treat, brothers Steve, JD, Tom, Judon, David, and Owen Treat.

Mr. Treat is survived by his wife of 13 years: Debbie; his daughters, Angie Diles and her husband Tim of No. Little Rock, Arkansas, Tara Treat of Houston, Texas, Melissa Erwin and her husband Scott of Greenwood, Arkansas, and Mandy Wakefield of Sugar Land, Texas; his precious grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as "Papa the Big Bear:" Browning and Hallie Diles, Dalton, Eli, and Ryan Erwin; his brothers and sister-in-laws Derol and Ruth Treat, Dwane and Robbie Treat, Cleve and Darliss Treat, Bill and Wilma Treat, Freda Treat and Geraldine Treat all of Searcy; sisters and brother-in-laws Carley and Harold Long of Oregon and Fern and Glenn Pledger of Searcy and several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday June 17, 2009, at West Ark Church of Christ. Mr. Treat was laid to rest at Taylor Cemetery in Searcy, AR.
