John Clay Fields, 72, Cave Springs, died Jan. 28 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born March 16, 1904, at Monte Ne, he was the son of John Calvin and Myrtle Eden Fields and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jessie Smith Fields of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Mitchell, Fayetteville and Mrs. Verna Phillips, Rogers; two brothers, Russell Fields, Rogers, and Jim Fields, Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Ivan Gray, Gardena, Calif., and Mrs. Jessie Mae Baxter, Amarillo, Tex.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Apostolic Church, Cave Springs. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callison Funeral Home of Rogers.

Rogers -- Mrs. Jessie R. Fields, 68, of Fayetteville, died Saturday in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Aug. 20, 1913 at Cave Springs, she was the daughter of James B. and Leora Fouts Smith. She was a life-time resident of Northwest Arkansas and was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Cave Springs.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joan Mitchell, of Fayetteville and Mrs. Verna Phillips of Rogers; a brother, Henry Smith of Cave Springs, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Chapel in Rogers.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Apostolic Faith Church with burial in Cave Springs Cemetery.
