Desmond Henry was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, to the late Nora Miller and Jo Edwards Henry on October 10, 1955.

He received his education at Old Mount Willie and later integrated to Parkers Chapel.

He joined Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. D.L. Mayfield. Later he moved his membership to Zion Watch under the leadership of Rev. Donald Dredd, where he served on the Deacon Board and Usher board. He was employed by J&H Poultry, Pilgrim Pride, and Con Agra until his health failed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his Sisters MaryAnn Miller, Joyce Henry, Leona Browning, and Gladys Henry, one brother Arthur Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister Jolla Henry of Oklahoma City, a special Uncle Anderson Miller, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and, Uncles.
