SILOAM SPRINGS (Special) - Daniel Claude Fields died April 29 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Elm Springs, a retired farmer, and had lived near Elm Springs for 45 years. He came to the area from Madison County where he was born April 15, 1897. He was a member of Assembly of God Church of Elm Springs.
Survivors are the widow, Emma; four sons, Sam of French Camp, Calif., Fred and Dale of Elm Springs, and Claude, Jr., of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Othela Scluler of Fayetteville; one brother, Ed Fields of Gentry; three sisters, Mrs. Bella Crawford of Wichita, Mrs. Rebecca Green of Monett, Mo., and Mrs. Margaret Nelson of California, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled to be concluded today at 2 p.m. in the Elm Springs Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Wayne Danner of Fayetteville. Burial was to be in Cave Springs cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emma Fields, 87, of Fayetteville died Monday at a local nursing home. Born March 15, 1897, at Cave Springs, she was the daughter of Robert Lee and Valerie Anne Shaffer Ford. She was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas, and had lived in Fayetteville for 24 years. She was a member of the Fayetteville First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are four sons, Samuel and Fred Fields, both of Springdale, Dale Fields of Lowell and Claude Fields, Jr. of Tontitown; a daughter, Mrs. Oletha Shuler of Fayetteville; a brother, Noble Ford of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Nora Simpson of Bentonville; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville, with burial at Cave Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.
