Rev. Andrew "A,N." Newton Best was the son of John Dolphin Best and Susan Catherine Tennessee (Benge) Best. He married Sarah "Sallie" Florence Woods on May 21, 1891 in Logan County, Arkansas.
He was an ordained Free Will Baptist minister in the Arkansas State Ass'n of Free Will Baptists in the early part of the 1900's, as his name is shown in old church records there.

Sarah "Sallie" Florence Woods was the daughter of William D. Woods and Temperance "Fanny" (Hayes) Woods.
Sarah "Sallie" Florence Woods married Rev. Andrew "A.N." Newton Best on 21 MAY 1891 in Logan County, Arkansas.
