Mary Lou was born March 20, 1937, in El Dorado, AR to the parents of Smead Stanley Sr and Ruth Anderson-Stanley.

Mary Lou was a member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. She served as a member of the Kitchen Committee and the Women's Choir. Mary was a Retired Head Cafeteria Cook of Dallas Independent School District.

Mary was loved by all her family and friends. She was known to the family as MeeMaw. She enjoyed the company of her friend Shirley West, having family gatherings and cooking large meals.

Mary Lou departed this earth on September 27, 2020, at St Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She is preceded in death by her parents Smead Stanley Sr and Ruth Anderson-Stanley; four brothers: Earnst Lee Moore, Benny Stanley, Smead Stanley Jr & Andrew Stanley; one sister: Ruby Jean Brice; and two grandchildren: Marcus Palmer & Dymanique Nash-Allen.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories by her daughter Lucille Palmer of Sherwood, AR and her son Gregory L Allen of Dallas, TX; her Life Partner: James Allen of Dallas, TX; 4 Sister’s: Raye (Sonny) Anderson of Eldorado, AR, Betty Hardy of Eldorado, AR, Caroline Stanley of Sherwood, AR, and Marilyn Stanley of Sherwood, AR; 12 Grandchildren’s: Allen (Kencia) and Cynthia RoShunda of Little Rock, AR, Brandon, Sammie, LaQuason, Fahren, Fallon, Finity, Brailyn, Alanti, DiJanique, and Denim of Dallas, TX; and 18 Great Grandchildren’s. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
