Ruby Jean Brice, 78, of El Dorado, was called home by her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock.

She was born on July 3, 1939 in El Dorado to Smead and Ruth Anderson Stanley. She attended Washington High School. For over 30 years Ruby was employed by Country Pride and later ConAgra Foods, Inc., where she was a USDA inspector and a lab technician.

She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served as chairman of the mid-week prayer meeting, secretary of the Women’s Missionary Society and as a Sunday School teacher. Ruby loved attending church, cooking and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Brice Sr.; a son, Curtis Brice Jr.; a grandson, Elgin Fernando “Frog” Brice; and four brothers, Ernest L. Moore, Benny Stanley, Smead Stanley Jr. and Andrew Stanley.

Survivors are one son, Elgin Lee Brice of El Dorado; five sisters, Raye Anderson and Betty Hardy of El Dorado, Carolina Stanley and Marilyn Stanley of Little Rock, and Mary Lou Allen of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at New Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery on Southfield Road under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.
