Claude E. Cheney, 89, died Sunday in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 5, 1879 in Van Buren County, Mich., the son of Guy and Emma Cheney, was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Jessie Mae Cheney of the home; two sons, Richard I. of Dowagaic, Mich. and Guy H. of Decatur, Ga.; several grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Frances Johnston of Niles, Mich.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel, with burial in Brentwood Cemetery.
