Linus Duncan Garrison
Elkins, AR, 1939 - 2010

Linus Duncan Garrison, 70, of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. He was born Sept. 18, 1939 on Horseshoe Mountain near Greenbrier, Ark., the son of James "Jim" Madison Garrison Jr. and Icy Alice (Duncan) Garrison.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Dennis) Garrison of the home; a son, Dennis Garrison of Springdale, Ark.; a daughter, Anita Nuuja and husband, Mark of Elkins; three sisters, Celia Sowell of McRae, Ark., Betty Hale of Vinity, Ark., and Jo Leta Jines and husband, Larry of Midland, Mich.; three brothers, James Garrison and wife, Mary Ann of Clinton Township, Mich., and Larry Garrison and wife, Betty of McRae, Ark.; and numerous other family members.
He was an avid fisherman. His request was to be cremated and his ashes scattered on the lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice Home Care Foundation, 2200 S. Bowman, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 or your favorite charity. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, August 5, at 12 noon at Garner Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Garner, Ark. To sign the online guest register, go to www.ARcremation.com.
