Mary Alice (Porphir) Muir, 80, of Searcy, died Thursday, August 13, 2015. She was born December 24, 1934 in Little Rock to the late Gary Wayne and Ruby Mae (Anderson) Porphir. She was nurse and worked in the health care field for many years. Mary enjoyed writing poetry and entertaining. She is survived by her children, Brenda, Ruby, Andy and Mark; her brother, Chuck; 11 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. In accordance with her wishes her body was donated to science. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net
