Floyd Feather was laid to rest Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006 at Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood Services were held in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, by Rev. Thomas Feather. Music by Lucy Churchwell. Pallbearers were Glen Leehy, Steve Leehy, Jerry Feather, Troy Churchwell, Charles Snelson and Dale Snelson.

Floyd A. Feather
Floyd A. Feather, age 77, of Griffithville, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006. He was born Wednesday, March 20, 1929 in Dogwood to J.A. and Mattie Gower Feather. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Churchwell Feather, of Griffithville; one son, Keith Feather, and wife, Tammy, of Griffithville; two daughters, Janie Harris and husband, Marvin, of Beebe and Judy Covington and husband, J.C., of Searcy; six grandchildren, Jawanda Cantu, Shawn Harris, Jennifer Lovitt, Joseph Levi Harris, Koby Feather and Jacob Feather; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bessie McAllister, of Jacksonville, along with a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.A. and Mattie Feather; five sisters, Paradine Herekamp, Jewel Guinn, Opal Leehy, Nova Snelson and Noma Jones; and two brothers, Bill Feather and Mike Feather. He was a farmer, avid hunter, a member of the Dogwood Methodist Church, a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Dogwood Cemetery c/o Leota Dill, P.O. Box 21, Griffithville, AR 72060. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment following at Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 1, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
