When Mattie Sue Williams was born in 1875 in Dogwood, Arkansas, her father, John, was 45, and her mother, Harriette, was 36. She married Frank K Slaughter on December 29, 1906. She died in 1958 in her hometown at the age of 83, and was buried in Griffithville, Arkansas.
