*When Otis Samuel Rogers was born on September 7, 1868, in Illinois, his father, Hiram, was 32 and his mother, Melvina, was 32. He married Elizabeth Jane LATTURE and they had five children together. He then married Carie Mae DUKE and they had three children together. He died on May 7, 1940, in Dogwood, Arkansas, at the age of 71, and was buried in Griffithville, Arkansas.
