*When Damaris Luner Grissom (Pence) was born on February 25, 1830, in Tennessee, her father, Elijah, was 40, and her mother, Barbara, was 32. She married Joshua Webb Pence on February 4, 1854, in Wilson, Tennessee. They had ten children in 19 years. She died on March 4, 1874, in Griffithville, Arkansas, at the age of 44, and was buried there.
