ALLBAUGH, Mary J. SELLERS – Mary J. Sellers was born in Perry CO., OH., Oct. 16, 1867 she was married to J.D. Allbaugh in Bloom City, Wis. To them were born 7 children, 6 of whom are now living. Some 25 years ago the family moved to Arkansas, near Springdale, where they have lived and made their home. In these years the children have married and moved to different places, one to Colorado, some to Oklahoma, to hers to southern Arkansas. On the morning of August 8th Mrs. Allbaugh, without warning, while about her household duties, fell be the stroke of death without saying goodbye. She went to her home beyond. Since her girlhood days she had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and by her influence had taught her children to love her Christ. From her busy home life she went to be with Him whom she had learned to love. The funeral was held on Saturday p.m. by Pastor Hickman from the First Methodist Church, attended by a large audience and she was laid to rest in the beautiful Bluff cemetery. M.C.H. --- The Springdale News---Springdale, AR---August 16, 1912----The community was shocked Thursday morning of last week when it was announced that Mrs. J.D. Allbaugh had died suddenly at her home a short distance southwest of town. Mrs. Allbaugh was in her accustomed health Thursday morning and was engaged in her usual household affairs. Some little girls from a neighboring home came over to pick up some apples and after going to the orchard returned to the house to get a bucket, she having died since their departure a few moments before. The body was removed to the house and effort to revive her failed and she never spoke. Death was due to apoplexy. The remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery Saturday afternoon, the following children of the deceased being present; Chas. Allbaugh, Bismark, OK,; Aud Allabugh, Shawnee, OK.; John Allbaugh, Blackwell, OK.; Mrs. Mamie Lichlyter, Vandervort, AR., Mrs. Bernice Cecil, Valiant, OK. One son, Jas. C. of Cripple Creek, Colo., was unable to be present. The family had resided in this section for more that 20 years and the deceased was held in high esteem by all.
