BRENTWOOD — Billy Joe Huey, 86, of Brentwood passed away Wednesday, Jan 3, 2018, at his home. He was born May 11, 1931, in the Brentwood community to Harry Cleveland and Lillian Barron Huey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anne Huey; four brothers and one sister.
Billy was an Air Force veteran having served during the Korean conflict. He entered construction work after the Air Force where he cut and hauled firewood. He loved nature, animals and music. Billy was a songwriter who later had a 2-song recording contract.
He is survived by a sister, Betty Douglas and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
