Delford Huey, 72, of Route 11, Fayetteville, died Monday at his home. Born Feb. 6, 1911, at Brentwood, the son of Harry C. and Lillie Dell Barron Huey, he was a retired farmer, a Protestant and a lifetime resident of the area. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion, Shelton Tucker Post.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Lawford Huey of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Kay Dell Eakes of Arizona (hometown unavailable); a stepson, Kenneth Hanshew of Fayetteville, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lula Faye Colclasure of Wichita, Kan.; three brothers; Gene Huey and Billy Joe Huey, both of Brentwood, and Arlis Huey of Fayetteville: a sister, Mrs. Betty Douglas of Meeker, Okla.; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Moore's Funeral Home with burial in Brentwood Cemetery.
