Arabelle Chote was a Deaconess for the Nazarene Church organization for 54 years. She assisted her husband, Rev. Amon F. Daniel to establish 167 Churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. In addition, she raised 12 children and worked as a "sharecropper" while doing her Church duties. She is buried next to her husband.

Note: With the birth of her father, Rev. Sanders Ellis Chote, the surname was changed from Choate. Arabelle is a direct descendent of Christopher Choate of "Choate's Fancy", Baltimore, Maryland.

*Obituary

Rev. A. F. Daniel and his second wife, Arabelle Chote Daniel helped establish 167 Nazarene Churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri...much by covered wagon and working as sharecroppers. Rev. Daniel was a Charter member of the Nazarene organization and also acted as Superintendent of the organization in the early 1900s.

He was first married to Etta Valula Nation and they had four children (one dying at the age of 6 months). He then married Arabelle Chote (bio posted to this site) and had nine more children. They were married six months short of 50 years.

Rev. Daniel shares a headstone with his wife Arabelle Chote Daniel.
