Funeral Rites Today For Winslow Woman
Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Alice Mather, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. C. Shipley of Winslow, were conducted at Winslow Episcopal church, of which she was a member. Rev. Carleton Lathrop of Fort Smith was in charge of services, and burial was in Brentwood cemetery under direction of the Watson mortuary.
Mrs. Mather was born in Nashville, Tenn., Jan. 15, 1863, the daughter of John Lawrence and Frances Wood Murry. She was the wife of the late John Mather. Besides Mrs. Shipley she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Leon Davis of Winslow; one brother, James Lawrence Murry of Shamrock, Texas; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
