Nicholas Austin McDermott, 85, of West Fork died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1994, in a Springdale nursing home. Born July 8, 1908, in Filmore, Iowa, the son of Joseph B. and Annie Burkley McDermott, he was retired with the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors are a brother, Lloyd McDermott of Cascade, Iowa; and a sister, Emily A. Lehner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Graveside services will be today, 2 p.m., at Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gladys Mae McDermott, 67, of Route 1, Winslow died Sunday morning in a local hospital. Born Sept. 12, 1906 in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Charles R. and Minnie McDonald Gale, she was a member of the Brentwood Community Church.

Survivors are the husband, Nicholas A. of the home; a brother, Merton R. Gale of Bremerton, Wash.; and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Ferroll and Mrs. Marion Oleson of Bremerton, Wash., and Mrs. Lois Keeler of Port Orchard, Wash.

Funeral service will he at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brentwood Community Church. Burial will be in the Brentwood Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
