WICHITA, Kan. — Vernon Curtis "Cedric" Meyer, 69, of Wichita, Kan., died Feb. 1, 2004, at Wichita. He was born Sept. 8, 1934, in Brentwood. He was a retired bus driver from the city of Wichita. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic and had worked for Boeing Aircraft. He was a real estate salesman in Northwest Arkansas for several years before moving to Wichita.
Survivors include one sister.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Ted Doke officiating. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Bella Vista VFW Post 9063.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Roy Dickens, Daniel Porter, Paul Wood, Don Dennis, Gerald Porter and Elmer Omohundro.
