Roger Cordnal Rowe, age 91, of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019.

He was born on August 29, 1927, in Oma, the son of Joseph Steven Rowe and Mary Etta Higdon Rowe. On October 7, 1950, he married Wilma "Dene" Ferrell. He was preceded in death by both parents; sister and brother-in-law, Vern and Roy Traywick; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Bernice Rowe; brother and sister-in-law, James and Evelyn Rowe; and sister-in-law, Gracie Rowe.

Roger attended Bismarck Schools. He was a member and faithful servant as deacon of Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces in both the Merchant Marines and then the U.S. Air Force, and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired after many years from the Hot Springs Municipal Water System. Roger loved spending time with his family, working on the farm with his tractor, and playing bass guitar at church.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Wilma Dene Rowe of Hot Springs; two daughters, Pam Free of Benton and Carrie Hardison of Genoa, Nevada; grandchildren, Cameron Free, Caitlyn and husband Cody Ford, and Mackenzie and Kylie Thielmann; one great-granddaughter, Lainey Ford; his twin brother, Ralph Rowe of Harbor City, California; one sister, Jean Neumeyer of Costa Mesa, California; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, with Bro. Horace Gray officiating.

Interment will be in the Tranquil Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday evening.

Pallbearers will be Dean Traywick, Deano Traywick, J.E. Rowe, Carl Rowe, Stan DeGruccio, Buck Ferrell, and Casey Ferrell.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons and members of Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church, the compassionate care of Dr. Timothy Webb and Tim English and their staffs, as well as the staff of Arkansas Hospice.
