James "Red" Walter McKeen was the son of John McKeen and Mary (Legate) McKeen.
James "Red" Walter McKeen married Ethel Ray on 01 JUN 1914, in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.
They were the parents of 4 daughters:
1) Minazelle McKeen, wife of Alva Hershel Wiggins, Sr.
2) Mary "Celestine" McKeen, wife of Mr. Bridges and later Melvin Floyd Wiggins.
3) Betty Lou McKeen, wife of Mortimer "Mort" Gilmer Hardwicke and later Eddie Herlein.
4) Melba Nell McKeen
