PARIS — James Allen Johnson, 83, of Paris died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 2, 1925. He was a retired diesel mechanic at Yellow Freight Co., attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris, past master of Paris Masonic Lodge No. 378, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 411, a Pillar of Solomon award recipient, a Navy veteran of World War II, received the American Area Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; a daughter, Alice Nahas of Fort Smith; a brother, Roy Bohanon of Fort Smith; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be his Masonic brothers.

Alice B. Johnson, 89 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Paris. She was born on February 14, 1929 in Denning, Arkansas to her parents, George Sidney and Annie Lou (Roland) Hurst. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris. She enjoyed crafts and was always ornery and enjoyed being a prankster.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Sidney and Annie Lou (Roland) Hurst; her husband, James Allen Johnson; two sons, Danny Raye and James A. Johnson JR.; three brothers, Gene, Sid Jr. and Bobby Frank Hurst and one sister, Judy Brobrowsky.

She is survived by her daughter, Alice Nahas of Paris; her sister, Virginia Lile of Kokomo, Indiana; two grandchildren, Scott Roush and wife Ginger of Greenwood and Mindy Weatherford and husband Jeff of Bonnerdale; six great-grandchildren, Jessica McBride, James Roush, Michael Roush, Autumn Adams, Bryan Williams, Nathan Roush; seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial rosary will be held at 5:30 P.M., on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris officiated by Fr. Eugene Luke O.S.B. and Deacon Tom Pohlmeier. Burial of cremated remains will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris
