James Kenneth Williams, 70, of Charleston died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was born April 10, 1932, in Paris to James Dover Williams and Reba Lucille Price Williams. He was a Baptist, a loving husband and a devoted father. He retired after 37 years as a repairman for Baldor Electric. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Branch Assembly of God Church with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Reba Williams, and a brother, Paul Ray Williams. His is survived by his wife of 41 years, Loretta Williams of the home; a daughter, Cindy Williams Watson and son-in-law Dean Watson of Branch; two sisters, Rebecca Stephens of Scranton and Catherine Core of Boron, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David and Jimmy Stephens, William Nehus, Richard and Raymond Watson and Mike Frost. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
