Nannie Sue Benegar, 94, a resident of Mequon, Wisconsin formerly of Paris, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Harbor Cove in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

She was born May 26, 1923, in Paris, Arkansas to the late Arthur Edward and Nannie Sue (Plummer) Dorrough. Ms. Benegar spent most of her working years as the Assistant Administrator of the Missouri Pacific Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. In her retirement years she served as the greeter at the family's hardware store, National Ace Hardware in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Paris, Arkansas, loved reading and her family came first. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lexie Denver Benegar; a sister, Nellie Scott and a brother, Fred Dorrough.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Rotter and husband, David of Mequon, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Susannah Klotz and husband, William of Grafton, Wisconsin and Sarah Remme and husband, Nicholas of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; two great granddaughters, Selia and Sadie Remme, both of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews and her National Ace friends and family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas with the Rev. H.C. Varnadore officiating.
