WINSLOW — Ronnie William Murphy, 71, of Winslow, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 27, 1946, in Hollis, Okla., to Mike and Mary (White) Murphy.

Ronnie, as a young man, served six years with the Oklahoma National Guard. He enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles and traveling with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson's sports activities. Above all, Ronnie loved his Lord and searching the scriptures. He attended Winslow Assembly of God and actively helped with its Food Bank.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo Nell (Wadley) Murphy; a daughter, Paula Schoonover and husband Jake; three grandsons, Brandon, Gavin and Aidan, all of Greenland; and three brothers, Jimmy, Eddie and Bobby Murphy all of Amarillo, Texas.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, Steven Linn Murphy in 2012.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Winslow Assembly of God. Interment will be at Brentwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home, online guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
