Billy Joe McMullin, 79, a resident of Paris, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017, in Fort Smith.He was born February 12, 1938, in Tyronza, Arkansas to the late Isaac and Lela Lucille (Leigh) McMullin. Billy married Judy in 1962 in Paris. He was a 1964 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. After graduating, Billy spent his career as a civil engineer working on locks and dams in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi for the United States Army Corps of Engineers.In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Glenn McMullin and a sister, Juanita Germany.Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy; a son, William; a daughter, Pamela; a granddaughter, Erin; a great grandson, Elliott; two brothers, Larry and Isaac Jr. and three sisters, Virginia, Kathy and Jane.Visitation will be Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris, Arkansas.Graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas. Burial will follow.
