Obituary James Kidd, 82, of Georgetown, passed away March 22, 2020 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born July 25, 1937 at Searcy to the late William and Nona Mae Tracy Kidd. Mr. Kidd loved to fish and was a commercial fisherman in his family business, Kidd’s Fish Market in Kensett. He was an all around outdoor person who also loved to hunt, raised coon dogs and always put out a large garden to feed his family and friends. He was a longtime board member of SEWCO. He loved being with his family and their Sunday gatherings. He married Betty Medler Kidd June 27, 1959 at Augusta; she preceded him in death February 28, 2020. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Roy and WR Kidd. He is survived by three daughters, Tammie Wyatt (Tim) of Judsonia, Kelly Powell (Kelly) of Heber Springs, and Jamey Marshall of Griffithville; two sons, Larry Kidd of Georgetown and Tony Kidd (Judy) of West Point; one sister, Betty Patterson (James) of Georgetown; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11:30 Friday, March 27, 2020 at Nelson Cemetery at Georgetown. Visitation is private and limited to immediate family only due to the current restrictions for the COVID-19 outbreak.
