John Amos Weeks Sr. of McRae, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the age of 78. He was born on October 26, 1935 to the late Ernest and Etta (Valentine) Weeks. He enjoyed doing a little camping, fishing, and hunting, but mostly just spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by five children; Johnny Weeks and wife Patty, Judy Gude, Jeannie Collier and husband Jeff, Jimmy Ray Weeks and wife Sherry, and Charles Weeks and wife Jackie, seventeen grandchildren, John and wife Emily, Jeremy and wife Jennifer, Jarrod and wife Krissie, Jacob, Christy and husband Mike, Jamie and husband Wesley, James and wife Maranda, Keith Smith Jr. and wife Kim, Kayla and husband Sam, Kari and husband Andy, Kimberly and husband Chris, Allie, Zach and wife Shayla, Dustin and wife Brittney, Adam, Josh, and Terra and husband Nathan, two step-grandchildren, Kyle Berry and wife Sarah, and Alesha Sawrie and husband Jason, twenty two great- grandchildren, Autumn, Rilynn, Bryce, Alea, Ayden, Nicholas Graham, Maddilyn Smith, Alex Hofman, Mariah Hoofman, Selina Smith, Trenton Smith, Chandler, Molly, Leslie, Sailleor, Audrey, Dakota, Hunter, Ryan, Reliegh, Lillian, and Koda, and one step- great-grandson Braden.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Minnie Florance Weeks, his parents Ernest and Etta Weeks, one great grandson Matt Graham, one sister Jenalee Long, eight brothers, James Weeks, Mark Weeks, Vester Weeks, Seal Weeks, Marion Weeks, Richard Weeks, Norman Weeks, and Paul Weeks.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are John Weeks, Jeremy Weeks, Jacob Weeks, James Smith, Jeff Collier, and Kieth Smith Sr. Honorary Pallbearer is Kieth Smith Jr.

Visitation will be held at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 6-8p.m. Graveside Service will be held at Weir Cemetery in McRae, Arkansas on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10a.m.
