When Anita Newby was born on August 24, 1937, in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, her father, Grover, was 20, and her mother, Christine, was 16. She married Robert Arthur Harrington on May 10, 1970, in Monroe, Florida. She died on October 28, 2002, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, at the age of 65.
