Ethan Alexander Shoffner, 18, passed away Monday, January 26th at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
He was born August 20, 1996 in Searcy, Arkansas to Melissa Cheatham Shoffner and Martin Shoffner.
Alex was a fun loving young man who would always make you smile. His smile was contagious! He was a huge wrestling fan. Dashing Alex Shoffner "The Champ" would often quote his favorite wrestlers. Saying "Never Give Up", "I Am Perfection," "Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect". His family and friends would often refer to him as "Big Al". Alex was a big flirt, a ladies man. He was never to be found without his cologne. He loved and was loved by so many. Alex was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Alex, we love you the mostest!
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Melissa Cheatham Shoffner of Searcy; sister, Amelia Shoffner of Searcy; his father, Martin Shoffner of Beebe; maternal grandparents, Larry and Molly Cheatham of Searcy; paternal grandmother, Judith Ann Diehl (Papa Ron) of Searcy; great granny, Emo Whitmire, great grandfather, Donald Harris both of Searcy; Aunt Makayla Cheatham of Searcy; Uncle Corbitt and Aunt Ashley Shoffner of Benton; Great Aunt Nancy and Uncle Noel of East Flat Rock, North Carolina; cousins, Addison and Tatum Cheatham, Natalie Shoffner and Jayme Slayton; honorary family, Robert and Polly Noland, Robby, Austin and Blake Noland ("The Boys"), Laurel Dillard, Nana and Papa Noland, and Grammy; and a host of friends and family.
Alex was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Phil Shoffner; maternal great grandparents, Bernie and Lois Vines.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29th at Revival Church of Searcy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 30th at Revival Church with interment following at Weir Cemetery.
