Charles Edwin Peebles, Jr., 55, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away March 7, 2010.

He was born August 24, 1955, in Searcy, Arkansas, the son of the late Wanetta Rankin and Charles E. Peebles. He served in the United States Coast Guard from which he retired after 20 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life. Mr. Peebles was a member of the Rocky Point Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber L. Francis of Corpus Christi, Tx.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. Peebles, III and Jade Peebles of Uhland, Tx.; and step-daughter, Jessica Asikainen of Bald Knob, Ar.; grandchildren, Liam, Charlie, and Oren Peebles of Uhland, Tx.; Angelina Peebles and Katelyn Francis of Corpus Christi, Tx.; and Jakus and Jagger Asikainen of Bald Knob, Ar.; brothers, Robert Rankin of Stuttgart, Ar. and Mike Peebles of Augusta, Ar.; sister-in-law, Charlotte Peebles of Little Rock, Ar.; and step-mother, Sylvia Peebles of Augusta, Ar.

Mr. Peebles was preceded in death by his sisters, Gail Posey and Tina Dixon; brother, Billy Peebles; and step-father, Frankie Rankin.

Service and Burial will be held Saturday, March 13th at the Holly Springs Cemetery on Rambo Loop in Searcy, Ar. at 11am.

The family would like to thank everyone who donated funds for the burial arrangements. Words cannot express our gratitude.
