*When Monroe Lafayette McCollum was born on February 18, 1898, in White, Arkansas, his father, Joab, was 23 and his mother, Minnie, was 20. He married Florence Samantha Jane "McCollum" Lewis on March 25, 1917, in Pangburn, Arkansas. They had nine children in 10 years. He died on November 3, 1983, in Pangburn, Arkansas, at the age of 85.
When Florence Samantha Jane "McCollum" Lewis was born on November 7, 1901, in Union, Missouri, her father, Wesley, was 39, and her mother, Laura, was 36. She married Monroe Lafayette McCollum on March 25, 1917, in Pangburn, Arkansas. They had nine children in 10 years. She died on August 12, 2000, in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, at the age of 98.
