Bud Samples, 94, a resident of Route 1, Winslow for the past 43 years, died this morning in a local hospital. Born Dec. 14, 1893 at Winchester, Ky., the son of Felix and Tesha Samples, he was a retired farmer and a Baptist.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Jessie Samples of the home; four sons, John and Edgar, both of Fayetteville, Coy of Denver, Colo. and Troy of Tacoma, Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Emmer Bryant of Fayetteville, Mrs. Raymond Smoose also of Denver, Mrs. Clift Taggerty of Hutchison, Kan., Mrs. Delma Watkins of Winslow and Mrs. Ollie Condie of Jerome, Idaho; one sister, Mrs. Delia Camp of Springfield, Mo., 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Brentwood Community Church with burial in Brentwood Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
