John Larry Hannah, 80, of Searcy passed away Thursday, February 1st at Unity Health Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1937 in Griffithville, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Rosa Brooks.

John worked for Rolland Hodge Sawmill in Griffithville as a young man then later he began working as a janitor for Searcy Public Schools for 19 years. John loved being outdoors, fishing, camping, and coon hunting. He loved watching John Wayne movies. He enjoyed playing board games, and playing dominoes, Rook and Aggravation. John enjoyed going to church. His favorite pass time was watching his son, Larry, play sports and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Sandra Hannah; one son Larry Hannah (Tami) of Searcy; one sister, Charlene Bullock of Michigan; one brother, Brooks Hannah of Port Orange, Florida; and three grandsons.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6th from 12:00-2:00pm at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6th at 2:00pm in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Faith Assembly Cemetery.
