Todd Randall Landreth, age 48, of Searcy died Friday, May 30, 2014.
He was born September 8, 1965, in Port Clinton, Ohio, the son of Howard and Shirley Balentine Landreth.
A U.S. Navy Veteran, Todd was a Pipeline Welder and Boilermaker.
Surviving are his Fiance, Cathy Morgan of Searcy; son Josh Landreth his wife Rikki; Daughter, Kaity Landreth of Queen Creek, Arizona; Sister, Terri Douglas her husband Byron of Heber Springs; Stepbrother, Darren Altom, his wife Pat of Tumbling Shoals, Stepchildren, Katie Goodman, Deann Watson, and Salina Morgan; Stepfather, Kendall Altom of Ida. Grandchildren, Cooper and Liam Landreth, Hunter and Cordell Watson, Emma and Edward Crisel, Avery, Adrien, Andrea, Amelia and Adale Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial was in Searcy Faith Cemetery.


*WHITE COUNTY, AR — One man is dead and another behind bars following a shooting in White County.

At 1:15 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a 911 call that reported a shooting at 116 Oakdale Church Rd. in Judsonia.

When deputies arrived, they were able to identify the suspect as Robert L. Vestal, 41.

Vestal was a former resident at the address, but had fled before deputies arrived.

The victim was also missing from the crime scene, but law enforcement began a search for the suspect and an investigation of the incident.

Vestal met with White County detectives at approximately 10 a.m. today.

He led them to a location north of Bald Knob where they were able to recover the body of the victim — Todd Landreth, 48, of Searcy.

Vestal has been arrested for first degree murder and is being held in the White County Detention Center.

His bond is set at $750,000.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and anticipate additional charges will be filed in connection with the shooting death.
