Elma Elizabeth Finch, 93 of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. She was born February 11, 1916 to the late William C. and Estella E. Smith Black. She was a long-time member of Crosby Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-six years, Robert H. Finch, three brothers, Raymond, Ramsey and Joe Black, three sisters, Ruby Seamon, Alda Ellenburg, and Ruth Black, a daughter-in-law, Amy Finch, and a son-in-law, Wayne Lott.
She is survived by three sons; Robert Joe Finch (Jeanette) of Stafford, VA, Lee Finch (Nora) of Ft. Worth, TX, and David Finch (Pat) of Searcy, AR, four daughters; Shirley Hughes (Elywon) of Searcy, AR, Barbara Walker (Wallace) of Ft. Worth, TX, Linda Scott (Sonny) of Searcy, AR, and Kattie Rumfield (James) of Searcy, AR, a brother; W.J. Black (Alma) of Searcy, AR, ; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her oldest childhood friend, Ludie Shourd and her very special friend and roommate, Blanche McEuen, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 24, 2009 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home with Bro. James Hays officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Searcy Faith Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Crosby Baptist Church Building Fund
