When Zelda Lorene English was born on April 10, 1917, in White, Arkansas, her father, Beuna, was 23, and her mother, Gladys, was 20. She married Delbert Eugene Lott on April 27, 1935, in Woodruff, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. She died on January 1, 2000, in her hometown at the age of 82, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
