Glen Canard Standlby, 64, of West Fork died Sunday at his home. Born May 21, 1905 at Brentwood, the son of Roy B. and Nellie Hutchens Standley, was a contractor and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Wanda Pitts Standley of the home; one son, John Henry of the home; two brothers, Walter of Galena, Kan. and Aultia of Brentwood and four sisters, Mrs. Mittie Jones of Fayetteville and Mrs. Mildred Torix, Mrs. Opal Ferguson and Mrs. Oral Lewis, all of Galena.

Funeral service will be a 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Brentwood Continuity Church with burial in Brentwood Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.

SPRINGDALE — Wanda Lea Standley Cavin, 85, of Springdale, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at North Hills Life Care.

She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Whitener, Ark., to the late William Henry Pitts and Effie Jean Bell Pitts.

She worked for many years at Campbell Soup Co. and Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Standley, second husband, Clyde Cavin; three brothers, Walker Pitts, Wayne Pitts and Eugene Pitts; and three sisters, Wanetta Pitts Davis, Maco Pitts Sullivan and Lorean Pitts Strickland.

She is survived by one son, John Henry Standley and wife Karen of West Fork; sister, Marguerite Pitts Dodson of California; and grandchildren, Chelsea Standley of Fayetteville and Landon Standley of West Fork.

Visitation will be held 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Brentwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter 6465 S. Yale Ave., Suite 312, Tulsa, OK 74136-7810.
