Monday, December 29, 1975
William W. Temple, 76, Brentwood Community, died this morning in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Nov. 20, 1899, in Chapel Hill, N.C., he was the son of William Alfred and Fannie Wortham Temple, and was former superintendent of construction for Caltex. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died Sept. 7 this year.
Survivors include two sons, William W. Temple Jr., Cape Town, South Africa, and Charles A. Temple, Port Arthur, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. A.V. Vermont, Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. J. P. Nelson, Port Arthur, and Mrs. F.L. Woods, Portland, Ore.; two brothers, C.E. Temple, Walnut Creek, Calif., and A.V. Temple, Port Arthur; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Wade Temple, and a niece Mrs. Harold Gateley, both of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Moore's Chapel, with Rev. Phillip Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery under direction of Moore's of Fayetteville. Pallbearers will be C.A. Temple Jr., Dale E. Temple, Glenn R. Temple, Harold G. Gateley, David G. Gateley and Wade H. Gateley.
The body will lie in state from none Tuesday until 5 p.m., then from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday.

Mrs. Hester Mae Heppel Temple, 75, Brentwood, died Sept. 7 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Sept. 29, 1899, in Dallas, Tex., she was the daughter of Charles and Mae Hodges Heppel, and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, William W. Temple of the home; two sons, William W. Temple, Capetown, South Africa, and Charles A. Temple, Port Arthur, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Hazel L. Castro, Lucrene, Calif.; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m in Moore's Chapel with Rev. Phillip Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Funeral Home.
