Sylvia Leona Wood, 79, of Brentwood, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1986, in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1906 at Stark County, Ind., the daughter of John Robert and Sarah Elizabeth Haines Parish, she was a homemaker and a Protestant. She was a longtime resident of Plymouth, Ind., and moved to this area from Colorado 12 years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Seth A. Wood of the home; a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Wood of West Fork, an adopted daughter, Janice Jordan of West Fork; three sisters, Florence Schearer of South Bend, Ind., Bertha Venable of Jerome, Idaho, and Mildred Furry of Florida; and three adopted grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel with burial at Brentwood Cemetery.
