When Sidney Elmer Baugh was born on July 20, 1893, in Searcy, Arkansas, his father, Joseph, was 43 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 40. He married Nellie C. Hodson on August 22, 1934, in his hometown. They had one child during their marriage. He died on November 20, 1944, in Christian, Kentucky, at the age of 51.
