Elwanda S. Taylor, 87, of Searcy went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born November 4, 1931 in Sidon, Arkansas to the late Bill and Martha Bennett.

Elwanda was a member of Searcy Church of the Nazarene. She was a devoted Christian woman, who loved reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Left to cherish her memory is her children; two sons, Leonard Southard (Peggy) and Harold Southard (Sharon) all of Searcy; two daughters, Rachel Jordan (Gene) of Searcy, and Wilma Crowe (Frank) of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; and one sister, Laverne Hofmann of Bellflower, California.

In addition to her parents Elwanda was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale O. Southard; her second husband, Neamon Taylor; one son, Darrell Southard; one daughter, Janice Southard; and two brothers, Wendill and Billy Bennett.

Visitation will be June 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be June 21st at 10:00 am at Searcy Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Randall Beaty officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery in Searcy, Arkansas.
