Sherman Joseph Cormier, 77, of Searcy went to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. He was born October 4, 1937 to the late Ivy and Mable (Hebert) Cormier in Church Point, Louisiana.
Sherman served in the U.S. Air Force. After serving his country he worked as a truck driver and a route salesman. Sherman loved fishing, old cars, football and watching races. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Southard, and husband, Harold, Carolyn Ripka, and husband, Don all of Searcy; two sons, Michael Cormier of Searcy and Ricky Cormier and wife, Cindy of Kyle, Texas; step-mother, Freda Cormier of Beaumont, Texas; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Sherman was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Treadwell Cormier; one sister, Dorothy Cormier; and one grandson, Jamey Cormier.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Holly Springs Cemetery.
