Eddie Edwards went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 20th, 2020. ​ Eddie was known to all as a man who loved God, Family, and Country. ​ Eddie was born April 8th, 1933. ​ He graduated from​ Prattsville​ H.S. and obtained 2 associates degrees from ASU Beebe. ​ Eddie served 26 years in the US Navy and achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was an ordained deacon and a current member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

He was married on March 2nd, 1957, to LaWanna (Armstrong). After retiring, Eddie enjoyed his time working on their cattle farm (Shangri-La). Eddie is survived by his wife; sons, Kenneth and Lyndall; special niece, Lila (Jim) Franke; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 other nieces, 2 nephews, and countless cousins, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Weir Cemetery. State of Arkansas COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required at all times, maintain social distancing. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
