BELLA VISTA — Robert "Bob" Matthew Roach, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. He was born on Nov. 19, 1928, in Wilson, Ark., to Robert Lewis Roach and Sybil Davidson Roach.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Sgt. 1st Class and was stationed in Germany. He married Beverley Bess on June 7, 1953, in Omaha, Neb. After his retirement as vice president of the Principal Financial Group, they moved to Bella Vista in 1992 from Des Moines, Iowa. He was a member of the Elks Club, Business Fraternity and the Bella Vista Community Church. He loved playing tennis, traveling, working on the computer and was an avid Razorback fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Beverley of Bella Vista, Ark.; one son, Robert L. Roach (Molly) of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Sue Delperdang (Gary) of Centerton, Ark.; one sister, Virginia Graham of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren, Brent Matthew Delperdang (Erika), Brady Delperdang and his fiancee, Grace, Eric Roach (Lindsay), Elizabeth Roach, David Robert Roach, Adam Roach; and three great-grandchildren, Ella, Lilah and Charles Matthew Delperdang; and one step-great-granddaughter, Haylie.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. A private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church.
