BELLA VISTA — Arthur C. McLean, "Duck" of Bella Vista, Ark., born Aug. 25, 1927, in South Bend, Ind., passed away June 20, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific form 1944-1946, and the Naval Reserve from 1946-1951. He served as VFW Post Commander in Plattsmouth, Neb., and District 6 Nebraska Commander. He was a life member of VFW. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #6 in Plattsmouth, Neb., and a past patron Home Chapter OES in Plattsmouth, Neb. He was also a member of Tangler Shrine in Omaha, Neb. Following a move to Missouri, be became an engineer on the steam train in Silver Dollar City, Branson, Mo.
"Duck" was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lucile; and second wife, Jessie.
He is survived by wife, Darlene J., of the home; and son, Jeff McLean and wife, Sandy, of Omaha, Neb.; stepsons, Cory Collins and wife, Deb, of Crystal River, Fla., Mark Winslow and wife, Carrie, of Overland Park, Kan,; stepdaughters, Kay Brown of Indianapolis, Ind., Marcie Straka and husband, Jim, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two grandchildren; and 10 stepgandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 25, 1:30 p.m. at Village Baptist Church, 380 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, Ark. Inumment in Bella Vista Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
Memorials are suggested to the Village Baptist Church.
