OBIT

Frances K. Hubanks, age 83, of Sherwood passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014. She was born November 2, 1930 in Long Island, New York to the late James and Elizabeth Kennedy. She worked for the Civil Service for over 30 years, she was an avid volunteer for many years at the Children's Hospital and other charities. Ms. Hubanks enjoyed crafting and making ceramics, she was secretary for the Ceramic Association . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children; Deborah and Kenneth Hubanks , one grandson Jarrod Laycook, and three siblings; Jimmy Kennedy, Johnny Kennedy and Betty Bailey. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and giving mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her children; Mary Laycook of Sherwood, David Hubanks and his wife Jennifer of Cabot, John Hubanks and his wife Tonja of Hot Springs, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She also survived by her many dear friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
