Juanita Roberts, 97, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born September 8, 1915, in Johnson County to Nancy Elvira and Thomas Hardin.

She was an employee of International Shoe Factory for 26 years until retirement. In 2007, she was presented a Citizen Citation Award by Arkansas State Senator Bobby J. Pierce and State Senator Michael Lamoureux for her many years of service to her community, family, and state. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Golda Furgerson and Aubrey Roberts; two sisters, Bonnie Hardin and Florine Pierce; and six brothers, Ewell, Beb, Orlan, Ray, Argus and Alvin Hardin.

Survivors include two daughters, Bettye Brianne (Jim) Edwards and Shirley Annette (George) Smith; one brother, T. J. (Donna) Hardin; seven grandchildren, Kim (Mike) Barker, Karla (Dean) Shafer, Ralph (Lori) Ogburn, Jr., Gregory (Joey) Ogburn, Laura McGuire, Lisa Nelson, and Bridgette Roberson. She also has six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne; and numerous nephews and nieces.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Tom Walker. Burial will be in Stillwell Cemetery in Clarksville, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Edwards, George Smith, Ralph Ogburn Jr., Gregory Ogburn, Bobby J. Pierce and Robert Pierce.
